I live for God. I laugh for Him too. Find steadfast joy in Him.

Psalms 126:1-3
"When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, 'The LORD has done great things for them.' The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy."

--> We have found freedom in God as well. We can live out the joy depicted in this verse!

1 DAY!!!! Off to continue enjoying Christmas Eve!!!

Friday 9 December 2011

Number Crunching of the Christmas variety!

Okay - I stayed up late... later than I actually wanted... but I had to - because of this Christmas hours and days moment. There are now 16 days until Christmas! That's 384 hours!!! That's crazy! Know what's even crazier... do you? There are only 381 days until next Christmas!!! What!!! SO... for one hour only (whoa... I sound like a shopping network person...) - YAY (it happens at 3am) - the numbers will match! I like that. I'm going to sleep now - but cool!

Christmas Slips (verbal... and literal... yes... I fell... kind of... almost...)

Okay party people - it's CRUNCH time (I wish I could add an audio clip - because I've got the voice for that word down - think giant rock / muppet / Imagirl... who can't really do a voice like that... get it - presumptious... hyper... sorry for now and for later). Moving on... but not really at all... 18 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS! That's mad! No snow has kept! That makes me sad... but there are more days left... more days will work right? Bha... not the humbug kind... Christmas follies away...

1. The literal trip... being a tad (read: a lot) of the 'bad before the good' variety (except in some things...) - I thought I'd get the trippy (not drug-like people... [though I did get asked if I was drunk at the nofreehomeless store a few days ago... hmmm... read that further down]) - story out of the way first. I went to see 'The Phantom of the Opera' with Nieceamine and her bud (really good - like amazingly good - even excepting the fact that it was a high school production). We stopped and got slushies afterwards (this doesn't seem important... it really isn't...). When we got back to the house I leapt (just plain old better than leaped sometimes) towards the door and slipped like a crazy person. Full out. I caught myself... slushie intact (see... the build-up was not for naught... go go double negatives...), but it was still funny. First ice slip of the winter season... if we end up having one.

2. The Me vs Nenners day. It started out simply. There's a certain store that has a certain advertisement outside of it... of the moving variety... that freaks me out to no end! I hate it. It bothers me. Greatly. Nenners and I started teasing back and forth and then she went too far - she brought up eyes... my full-out weakness... I like 'em in their place, but any damage or possibility for and of damage freaks me right out. She did not stop. It was all 'squirt this' and such. I cringed, moaned, and made yuck sounds to no avail. I decided to get back with a vengeance. I succeeded greatly. See, my sister gets embarrassed more easily then I do, plus we went into the nofreehomeless store which, as my workplace, gives me an advantage; Mainly, that they know me quite well... the somewhat crazy me (have to be or bored I'd get... Yoda)... and that I don't mind looking the fool there. I did that well. I epic waved at Nenners. I danced beside her in the aisle. She actually tried to leave me with the cart and run away... I followed. I'm sure I made some funny voices. As mentioned before, I got asked if I was drunk... I explained my little sister shenanigans to the lady... I think most people understand the whole 'younger sibling' thing. Anyways... we were even stevens afterwards (good show). She did mention eyes again today though... the battle may continue... though we could still be in the truce zone, as I startled her quite well just the other day.

3. The Lee Jr. Christmas List. My niece is a cool 4. Plus, she's the coolest type of funny... the totally doing it for herself kind of funny. Her Christmas list (which is really quite maddeningly difficult to make use of) consists of three things...
  1. an iPhone (or iPad)
  2. Stars in the sky (awesome... AWESOME)
  3. Hearts in her pockets (this is pure gold... what does it mean... I LOVE IT!)
4. The 'Michael Jackson Experience' on Kinect... is funny... I've yet to try it myself, but I can say with certainty that watching others is hilarious...

5. The Christmas Tree... and more... according to Mister Giggles. Nieceamine ended up working on the cash next to me on Saturday - I feel like this would be a good place for an old school Batman 'Ka-pow' or something - anyways she related Mister Giggles idea for the Christmas tree placement... they further from there...
  1. He wanted it in the centre of the room so that they could all hold hands around it and sing Christmas carols. That's awesome. We'll have to watch 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas' soon... you know... to get the songs down. (Whoa... NZ Christmas flashback of 'family Christmas carols'... Waywin was smart to just leave off playing the piano... we could have damaged all of our eardrums...)
  2. THEN later on when they were trimming the tree, Sunshine found her 'rotten cinnamon covered orange' (an actual craft... I didn't remember things like that) and Mister Giggles quickly piped up that he had 'a rotten cinnamon covered orange, as well' - it was the excitement and the way he said 'as well'... as they pointed out it was akin to the twins from 'When Timothy goes to School' - now I have to actively not picture that in my head when he uses that tone. Man. Tough.
  3. Mr. Si pointed out a 'naked spot' on the tree (as opposed to the less controversial 'bald spot')... Mister Giggles quickly said 'Ahhh! Don't look!'
6. The fact that I continually climb up flights of stairs while actively using funny voices, slow motion, or dancing... this isn't a story at all... it's a lead-in to a question: Is that normal? If not, why... it's awesome... seriously... why?
