I live for God. I laugh for Him too. Find steadfast joy in Him.

Psalms 126:1-3
"When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, 'The LORD has done great things for them.' The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy."

--> We have found freedom in God as well. We can live out the joy depicted in this verse!

My Yesterday & Today

Yesterday.
Yesterday was a sick recovery day; therefore, yesterday was a cotton headed ninny muggins kind of day for me. It was fun - that's assured - but cloudy all the same. My work shift started and a fellow cashier immediately engaged me in a game of silly faces. I'm telling you - it was her idea - I reiterate that because others did not believe me. Anyways... I make many facial expressions a day - ranging from normal to silly to scary. I'm good at that game. The other cashier... not so much... but she played with such determination and spirit; the thing is - she can only do one expression... it's HILARIOUS!!! She's like Zoolander (p.s. that movie sucks, but the one expression thing fits). She's learning though... bhahaha! Also - was taking throat lozenges all day - which I may never do again because my teeth went numb - so weird -  try talking like that - crazy. Talked about how I was quiet in the start of my working at 'No Free Homeless' store - a fellow cashier says that all she remembers is my 'rub it in rub it in' melody... instead of 'plug it in plug it in'. We couldn't remember what I was singing about though. That drives me nuts. Maybe K'll have the answer when I work with her again. Oh, the shift before was like that too! Like 5 of us were trying to figure out the the theme song to 'Arthur' - we actually got all but 3 words, except it was in 5 parts... and no order. Redblackblur figured out the 'Stop the Smoggies' theme too - fun times.

Today
Got repeated parental tech support calls this morning from my newly iPhone 4s owning Dad. I was quite envious... especially because the extra Hipstamatic booths and the saweet 'Fred' camera cases I love are only for the newer models. Sad. Nieceamine got 2 grab bags from Ardene's today and 2 saweet iPhone cases which she gave to me though! They're pretty awesome - I just need to find my screen protector. Right before my shift started the kids were playing those 'Foom Foom' and 'Boogity Boogity Boogity Amen' songified videos. They were in my head forever!!! I now hate them... well... I now hate them more. Had a banned customer go through my cash... awkward. Had some funny customers as usual. One older lady had her basket 'stolen'... then later found it... funny... people have so many basket switch incidents... hilarious. Also - I said 'have a nice day' to a customer who replied 'you're welcome'... um... okay then. Left my phone for Nenners to play on; Didn't give her the code though... skill... at least she came into the store and I gave it to her. 64 days to Christmas!!!

Kazoos vs Star Wars... and eardrums...

This is from a few weeks ago. Yet another proof of awesomeness. Did a Sunshine gymnastics drop off, Walmart with Mr. Si shopping stop, pick up of party go-er Mister Giggles, stopping into a music store with the boys, and heading back to gymnastics to see Sunshine's mad crazy skills. Bought kazoos at the music store. Awesome. I did apologize to Nenners and Waywin about that. Anyways... this was our trip home. Oh! Before I forget - gave Nieceamine hers and she broke it in 30 seconds - so funny - she'd never played a kazoo before, so she blew into the wrong part and the filter flew into the air - Mr. Si tried very much to fix it for her.

Running Hellos.

K... so yesterday I worked all day. I got off at 4 and started heading home. I was almost there when my nephews and my niece's bus reached their stop. Mister Giggles leapt down from the steps and yelled 'Auntie Lisa' - then he ran at me... like full out... he's a cross country champ... so I ran at him too. He opened his arms and I totally hugged him and threw him up in the air and flipped him - it was hilarious. He was scream-laughing the whole time. Sunshine gave me a running hug too - along with a sharing of her new cool bus helping responsibilities. Mr. Si, being the cool teenager that he is, gave me an awesome high five. The bus was there the whole time - those people must have thought we were a crazy bunch of loons... or that we hadn't seen each other in forever. Ah well, I loved it. I've got a full weeks worth of awesome nieces and nephews - I should start calling them by their days:

Monday - Nieceamine
Tuesday - Mr. Si
Wednesday - Sunshine
Thursday - Mister Giggles
Friday - Nougat
Saturday - Lee Jr.
Sunday - Frannie

I'll have to come up with some extra days though - because I keep telling Seb (wedding in 185 days!) that she'll have to have triplets... there's no logical reasoning behind it... it'd just be cool.

Cottage Happenings

So, my cousin... whom I will furthermore call 'Sleepy' for the seven dwarfishness of this story... may be moving to Ottawa. He came up to the cottage for Thanksgiving and my Dad's 60th Birthday bash. He was quite hilarious and at one point failed in throwing half a hotdog to Seb... it hit me and then her instead though... being me I picked it up and threw it at him. Direct hit - he being quite out of it (with crazy eyes) slow fell to the ground with probably the most hilarious facial expression I've ever seen. I wish I had a picture of that. Pretty funny. Redirecting back to the main story - the next day he had a headache, so Nenners gave him an extra strength Advil/Tylenol. Well... she meant to give him one... instead she gave him nighttime medicine. He fell asleep... like a lot. All day. So funny! Here is a picture of the 'life of the party' I pretty much love this story. Oh, 'Sleepy' and Nenners - that was a good combo. Bhahaha. Funny family gatherings.

Mister Giggles... causing them.

This kid is hilarious. Oh, the randomness that comes out of his mouth. The kids were talking about their Christmas lists the other night and Mr. Si was talking about the new Kindle - Mister Giggles jumped in on that one saying 'I really want a kindle because my room is so stinky!' Bhahahaha. It was a mere word mishap, as he meant to say he wants a Scentsy. In his defense, Mr. Si had asked about 'man scents' previously, but still... funny. It only took a confused moment for us all to get it, but oh, what a moment.

Cashier Tales: Fearful Meetings

Working at a grocery store can give you some good stories and also some awkward run-ins. I like it that way. I was covering a break on the dreaded cash 12 when I looked up to see the store. I blinked - seriously - it was like a few seconds - and then a cashier came out from behind this teeny tiny pole. I was terrified! I jumped a foot and even scared some customers. It was impressive. I quickly jumped to the conclusion that this particular cashier, my sister's favourite, had avoided both dancing and singing because she was a stealth ninja. She agreed. Skillful employees reign at the 'No Free Homeless' store. Second confrontation: I was finished work and cleared security (no details - bhahaha - top secret place of work) and then went to the offices. The door opened just as I was about to knock. There was the owner - she jumped and shook like crazy. So funny. There had been a whole 'door opening' issue earlier that had since been fixed - they didn't know it and also didn't know that I was around. Hilarious.

Catch-up

It's been awhile, so I'm playing catch-up on the whole embarrassing things meter. Alrighty then, so I was sneezed upon multiple times in a coffee place (okay... not actually, but it felt pretty close... there was definitely some air contamination going on) - I didn't look at the guy... it was really difficult not to look at the guy. Next time I will... maybe. Co-worker left the 'No Free Homeless' store - danced their way out - epic. Had another 'blonde day' at work - a customer asked me the time and I told them 'twelve dollars and eight cents' instead of 12:08. Sad. I had my usual amounts of word flubs - so many that I can't really even remember them... hopefully that's true for others too. I also had some key in doors problems; I would have been bright red, but it was late enough to have some cover. Watched some shows and a movie with Nieceamine. Texted Seb birthday wishes for a whole day. Love her muchly. Touched base with a couple of old friends. Moved around bits of my messy messy room. Busy times, and a holiday coming up soon: Thanksgiving and my Daddio's birthday - party at the cottage! Can't wait to see everyone and to view the leaves up there - to see the real fall season! Weather looks good for it too!

Nieceamine vs the aliens (not the yip yip kind...

... which look like this:

You should already know 'em... or you're crazy!

... it's about the non-alien kind)

Watching a flick with Nieceamine and at the same time laughing hilariously at Pinteresting things. Nieceamine all of a sudden says "Did my mom take that picture of the alien" - BHAHAHA! - she then said "Dandelion, I meant dandelion"... funny times... and yes... she took that picture.
